Singapore / Manila — VITRO REIT, Inc. (“VITRO”), PLDT Global, and SG.GS Pte. Ltd. (“SG.GS”) have entered into a colocation agreement that is expected to expand network interconnection capabilities in the Philippines and support regional connectivity across the Asia-Pacific.

VITRO, together with ePLDT, Inc., is the Philippines’ pioneer in hyperscale-grade data centers. Its infrastructure in the Philippines serves as a critical aggregation point for enterprises, cloud providers, and network operators requiring reliable, high-performance digital infrastructure across Southeast Asia.

SG.GS is a wholesale carrier headquartered in Singapore with more than 25 years of experience operating carrier-grade network infrastructure across Asia-Pacific and other international markets. The company has over 200 points of presence in more than 30 markets and connectivity through more than 30 subsea cable systems. As a neutral interconnection provider, SG.GS facilitates connectivity between networks across Asia-Pacific and international destinations.

Under the agreement, SG.GS will deploy its network infrastructure within VITRO’s carrier-neutral facilities, further facilitating interconnection with carriers, cloud providers, internet service providers (ISPs), and enterprises in the Philippines. The deployment is expected to expand interconnection options for organizations operating in the Philippines and support connectivity between domestic and international networks. It is also expected to contribute to the continued development of the country’s digital infrastructure and regional connectivity ecosystem.

Critically, the collaboration is expected to expand the Philippines’ role as an aggregation and distribution point for regional and international traffic and reinforce its emergence as a viable transit alternative within the broader Asia Pacific connectivity map.

“We welcome SG.GS to the VITRO ecosystem. By colocating within our carrier-neutral facilities, they gain direct access to a rich interconnection landscape — spanning global carriers, cloud providers, ISPs, and Philippine enterprises — that strengthens the Philippines’ position as a high-performance transit hub in Asia-Pacific,” said Davis Yolangco, AVP & Sales Group Head, VITRO REIT, Inc.

“Colocating in VITRO allows us to extend our neutral, low-latency network deeper into the Philippines and enhance connectivity across APAC and beyond,” said Shawn Ang, Managing Director, SG.GS Pte Ltd.

“At PLDT Global, we see connectivity as a key enabler of economic growth and digital transformation. Our collaboration with VITRO and SG.GS demonstrates how strategic infrastructure partnerships can strengthen the Philippines’ position as a regional digital gateway—bringing together global networks, cloud platforms, and enterprises through resilient, scalable, and world-class connectivity.” said Edith Gomez-Cudiamat, Chief Operating Officer at PLDT Global.

“This collaboration reinforces the Philippines as a strategic digital gateway, connecting local demand with global digital infrastructure,” said Roselle Geronga-Dela Cruz, Vice President & Head of Global Business, at PLDT Global.

The collaboration is expected to support improved latency, stronger redundancy, and new pathways for cloud, content, and enterprise workloads and further embed the Philippines within the global digital value chain and open the country’s connectivity ecosystem to a wider network of international carriers and platforms.
