Junior Pre-sales Engineer/Solutions Engineer
Job Description:
1. Customer-Centricity
- Understand and address customer needs by identifying and analyzing specific requirements.
- Tailor technical solutions to meet customer challenges, ensuring alignment with business objectives.

- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Identify and analyze customer challenges and recommend appropriate, strategic solutions.
- Demonstrate initiative in resolving technical issues and providing practical recommendations to enhance client satisfaction.
4. Product Knowledge
- Possess an intermediate understanding of data center technologies, including:
- Retail and wholesale colocation
- Direct Internet Access (DIA)
- Internet Exchange (IX)
- Cloud Exchange and Cloud On-Ramp
- Data Center Interconnect (DCI)
- Assess client requirements and recommend optimal solutions.
- Evaluate configurations such as rack densities, network redundancy, uptime, and scalability options.
5. Consultative Selling
- Apply a consultative approach to sales by identifying customer pain points and offering tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with account managers to align technical recommendations with client business goals.
6. Technical Solution Design
- Develop standard solution designs and configurations independently, based on client needs and company offerings.
- Ensure technical feasibility, scalability, and cost-effectiveness of proposed solutions.
7. Proposal & Presentation Skills
- Prepare detailed proposal documentation and assist in client presentations.
- Deliver presentations confidently, demonstrating technical expertise and customer understanding.
8. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Group Head or Manager to support department and organizational objectives.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, Information Technology, Physics or Applied Physics, or other related fields relevant to the ICT industry.
- At least 6 months to 1 year of relevant work experience in data center, ICT, or related technical environments.
- Intermediate understanding of data center technologies (cooling, power, compute, and network connectivity).
- Strong familiarity with data center product features and functionalities.
- Preferably trained through:
- Online courses on data center fundamentals
- On-the-job training related to company data center products and CRM software
- Basic technical writing workshops
Certifications / Licenses (Preferred but not required):
- Certified Data Center Professional Series (CDCP, CDCS, CDCE) or equivalent
- IT Infrastructure Library Certification (ITIL) or equivalent
- Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
- Certifications in IP networking technologies, cloud, or related ICT fields
- Soft skills certifications in Presentation, Negotiation, or Marketing are a plus
