VITRO Santa Rosa Achieves LEED Gold Certification in Push Toward 40% Carbon Reduction

Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines — VITRO Inc., the pioneer in hyperscale data centers in the Philippines,  announced that VITRO Santa Rosa (VSR) has received LEED Gold certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC), making it one of the most sustainably recognized hyperscale data centers in the Philippines.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is the world’s most widely used green building rating system. Achieving Gold certification means a facility has demonstrated exceptional performance across rigorous categories including energy efficiency, water conservation, sustainable materials, and environmental impact. According to a U.S. Department of Energy report, data centers consume up to 100 times more energy than a standard office building, making this recognition even more significant, and placing VITRO Santa Rosa among a small global elite of data centers that have met this standard.

Located in Laguna’s fast-growing tech corridor, VITRO Santa Rosa is the Philippines’ first hyperscale data center purpose-built for Artificial Intelligence workloads. The 50-megawatt facility serves enterprises, cloud service providers, the government, and AI workloads. Already recognized as a TIA-942 Rated 3 constructed facility, VSR’s LEED Gold certification further affirms that its world-class infrastructure is matched by equally rigorous standards in energy optimization, cooling efficiency, and environmental stewardship — benchmarks that directly support VITRO’s long-term sustainability roadmap.
